Over the past number of weeks, the team has been squirreling away behind the scenes working on our new branding.
Earlier in the year, we decided that our old branding and name (We Are Pangs) didn’t fully represent the vision and the work that we do to support parents with mental health issues. We have since launched our new name, The Parent Rooms and our new look.
Our vision has always been to create a circle of support for parents and their families as they move beyond mental health struggles and into healthier and fulfilling lives.
This ‘circle of support’ really encapsulates what we do, whether its through our peer support service, wellbeing programs, counselling or social groups. We are part of a Northern Ireland-wide community of parents who are supporting each other every day.
When we thought about our rebrand we had two ideas.
- The name needed to be parent-focused. With so many organisations supporting children and families, we wanted our organisation to put the parent front and centre. The idea of The Parent Rooms is that parents have a safe and supportive space where they can look at their options for recovery and building their social connections.
- We wanted our logo to represent our circle of support. The rings make up three families members wrapped in an embrace while a larger circle surrounds them, representing the community surrounding the family in support and solidarity.
As part of our brand relaunch, we also released our Facebook Profile Frame which you can add to your profile picture.
