Aisling Cooper


Aisling was one of the first members of our online support group. She has been an active volunteer ever since taking on a moderator role on our online forum before become one of the founding members of our Board of Directors. She is a keen advocate for perinatal mental health and shares her lived experience regularly to raise awareness and reduce stigma.

Leslie Altic

Vice Chair

Leslie is one of the founding members of our Board of Directors and a mum with lived experience. She is an active volunteer and member of the birth community through her work as a doula. Leslie also volunteers with SANDS, the stillbirth charity, and is passionate about helping parents with all aspects of birthing and parenting.

Michelle Bradley

Chief Executive

Michelle is the founder of The Parent Rooms (formerly We Are Pangs) and a lived experience mum of three. She is an active volunteer and campaigner for better perinatal mental health services. Michelle is passionate about supporting parents to manage their mental health and getting them the support they need to recover and flourish.

Séana Talbot


Séana has over 25 years experience working in public health and maternity services. As well as working as the Maternity Services Manager in the Belfast Trust, she is also the Chair of Birthwise, a parenting charity in Northern Ireland. She is a founding member of our Board of Directors and passionate about helping parents recover from perinatal mental illness.

Shona Hamilton


Shona Hamilton is a Consultant Midwife for the Northern Trust and has been an active campaigner for better perinatal mental health services for many years. She is passionate about ensuring parents feel respecting and supported from the moment they become pregnant and beyond.

Emma Fraser


Emma is another of our founding board members and the other half of Belfast Baby Company alongside Leslie Altic. A trained birth doula and antenatal educator, Emma works to ensure parents get the best start, both physically and emotionally. She has lived experience of perinatal mental illness and is passionate about reducing stigma and isolation.

Bybit Areketa


Bybit joined the Board in 2020 and is passionate about raising awareness of perinatal mental illness following her own experiences. Bybit has spoken publicly about her experiences to many and work to reduce stigma and isolation, particularly among the BAME community.

Carly Craig


Carly joined our Board in 2020 after progressing through our Peer Support Training programme. She leads two of our peer support groups as well as running her own business, All of Me Sensory. Carly's passion for helping families is unending and she is constantly looking for new ways to improve lives.

Lindsay Robinson


Lindsay is a very well-known campaigner for perinatal mental health services in Northern Ireland. She has been instrumental in getting perinatal mental healthcare included in the Dept. of Health's ten-year action plan for mental health for the first time. Lindsay's focus is on campaigning and raising awareness through her movement, "Have You Seen That Girl?"

Hannah Brown


Hannah is a senior mental health practitioner with a background in social work. She has worked with mums with experience of perinatal mental health throughout her career. This is an area she is particularly passionate about and she is excited to be a part of The Parent Rooms as they continue to develop and deliver vital support services to parents.

Christina McCann

Parent Support Coordinator

Christina has a Bachelors Degree in Clinical/Counselling Psychology from University of Illinois at Springfield . She has 5 years of professional experience with crisis support mental health work. During her studies Christina spent a semester at Queens University Belfast where she met her now husband. Her passions include cooking, Star Wars, being a mom, and photography.
